Hi Guys!
It's day five in London! Time is just blitzin by. Yesterday, Shawn and I took a double decker bus to zone 2 in London...in a desperate attempt to find something like WalMart! Laughing. I sure miss WalMart. It literally took all afternoon. But it was so much fun
riding the bus. I accidentally navigated us to the wrongbus at the transfer, and we ended up driving right past the English parliament and St. Paul's Cathedral. Both of which were jaw dropping. A happy mistake, I'd say. I'm hoping to go back some day and take a million pictures.
We never did find the Asda (supposedly like WalMart) ... but after nearly 2.5 hours of bus-riding we settled for a larger Tesco (grocery store). Despite it's faults, I wonder how people ever get along with out Walmart. :>)
I think I love London. I've never lived in a place I didn't love, but London is the nicest large city I've ever experienced. The architecture here is unbelievable. Not so many skyscrapers as Seattle had. Or (at least in what I've seen so far) aggressive bums. The trees are crazy too. All different kinds of trees and flowers. Hydrangea seem to grow in every flower bed and window planter. The air's not too bad. I thought it would be smellier...but I'd say it's much better than Vegas. Although the water is horrible. We bought a water filter yesterday, so I'm excited to see how well it works.
I'm starting to look into job opportunities. No exciting news there, yet. But I'll try and keep you updated.
I love being with Shawn. He's the very best part of London. But I sure miss you guys. Hope our favorite Hawiians are having a blast on the mainland. Sure wish we could give hugs and kisses to Issac, Eve, and Eli. So Mom and Delly will have to act as proctors for us!
Love you by the millions,
Cole and Shawn
(I think these are just apartments! Can you imagine!)
