Attack of the giant moth!!!!!!!

We are used to big creapy crawly flying insects here in Hawaii but this was a new one for us. As we were knealing down to say our family prayers tonight Lance looked up and thought he saw what looked like a bat fly out of our bedroom into the hall. So we all got up to see what it was and found a GIANT moth on our wall. So of course I found my camera and took a picture. Lance was sure to mention that I couldn't find my camera during happy birthdays but whent the giant moth shows up I somehow can find the camera. Anyway, we let it out and it landed right next to a geeko- see picutres- Geekos eat moths, we've actually watched them catch moths and flies it is quite the sport. You would think the geeko would be in heaven but it took one look at that moth and walked away. My favorite picture is the first one. Let me explain it. I was tring to take a picture of Lance catching the moth with a big pot and I pushed the button on my camera right as Lance missed the moth which sent it flying all over the house. I dropped my camera, so I could jump up and down and scream properly, and the camera took a picture in mid air. Take a good look at Eli's face he looks just terrified of this moth. Thats how we all looked as we ran for our lives to get away from this freaky thing!! Lance did have a good birthday I think.Myk and TIna our good friends came over for a BBQ. I made him an ice cream cake- thanks Mom for the great idea- and I also got Lance a Boston Red Sox Shirt with his name and favorite number on the back. Yep- I did good this year. Lance is busy getting ready for school to start-YUCK!! Where did our summer go? He is already back to work and students start next week. I had lasik eye surgery last weekend in Honolulu and I CAN SEE!!!!! I went from having 20/600 vision to 20/20 I can hardly believe it. I really can't get used to being able to see so well it really hasn't sunk in. Thanks for all the Happy Birthdays you sent to Lance. We love you all.

Yep..I recognized that look on Eli's face. It is the look we both had when that huge cock-roach ran across the bedroom floor. .... at least it wasn't another centipeed. Love you, Mom(the chicken)
