Just wanted to share some of the excitement from around here. This last week after dropping Lance off at work we saw a car run into man on a moped and sending flying through the air and smack his head on the concrete just five feet from where we were waiting at a red light. He was quite literally RIGHT in front of us when it happened. I was totally shocked I've never seen anything like that before. He laid their unconscious on the ground with his head bleeding everywhere. I called 911- I've never had that opportunity before! I searched my car for something, anything, to go put on his head and all I could find was a diaper. Lucky there was another woman there with a towel and a man with a first aid kit. We waited and watched the ambulance haul him off to the hospital. It left a big impression on my children. We are all now very firm believers in wearing a helmet and none of us are too excited about Lance driving the moped anymore. I-0f course - didn't take any pictures so I just posted this cute one. So the lesson here... I don't know... crazy things happen when you least expect them to.

Holy Smokes. A lot of people around here drive odd little scooters and triped like cycles. That would be a terrifing thing to watch.
So that helmet Lance bought is looking like a better purchase every minute. Love you.. and know all these experiences help guide us to make better and safter choices.
