United Kingdom Premieres "Click"
Shawn and I took an evening walk tonight. We didn't really have a destination, and as the evening progressed found ourselves at Leichter Square (pronounced: lester). One of the most expensive and exclusive movie theaters is located here and before we knew what was happening, we were swimming in a mob of hundreds of people celebrating the U.K. premeire of Adam Sandler's new movie "Click". It took a second to figure out what was going on because you really couldn't see over the heads of all the people in the front. Adam Sandler and the leading ladie of the film (sorry, I can't seem to remember her name) were there, just like you see on TV (red carpet stuff...except the carpet was actually blue). I couldn't really see very well, so we started weaseling our way to the front. You could tell how close he was (even though you couldn't see) by the proximity and volume of the crazy people screaming his name and cheering wildly around you. We never did make it to the front front...but we got close enough to watch him signing autographs, for the folks right in front of us. We almost got Shawn's hand signed! Laughing. Dang. If I'da only brought my camera.
