Every year my creative Halloween artists become better and the jack-o-lanterns are so intricate I hate to see them shrivel up. Dave and Dad did the spider, Phil the ghost and Adelle created the moon and stars. Adelle was a princess (Mom insisted she was a fairy godmother and even got her a wand..but no..no fairies around here) her costume was a gorgeous thing borrowed from a friend and Dave found a shark that you wear on your head and that is what he wanted to be .. so Adelle created an ocean scene on an old blue shirt and he was so pleased. He wore the shark on his head for days before Halloween. When Halloween finally got here, he had a sore throat and didn't feel good so he dragged through school and then dropped in a heap. He didn't even feel up to trunk-or-treating. But we still had fun watching the newest Scooby do movie and eating all the candy that we had since we didn't pass it out at the trunk-or-treat party!! Pretty good deal.
