What A Week

Well, it sounds like Adelle won the 'most exciting week' award, this past week...but we've had quite the week, ourselves!

Red Light Company is kickin' b_m and takin' names. After playing 8 private showcases for the industry's top record labels, the band is settling into negotiations for a record contract with their favorite pick. Just this morning they've kicked off a consecutive 10 day tour of England and Scotland. The little flim you see here is footage we recorded at the world famous ABBEY ROAD STUDIOS of Red Light Company's launch - a live radio broadcast of the band from the same studio the Beatles called home. That black grand piano is Paul McCartney's Piano. Not many people can say they've ever been invited to Abbey Road Studios - let alone had the opportunity to record there. The guys were rad enough to weasel me in, so I could meander about and burn though a few sets of camera batteries. It was fantastic.

When I'm not sneaking into music industry shows, I'm stalking the sweet people of Rococo Chocolates. Out of pure exhaustion, I'm sure, they've agreed to give me a job! I'll start training this Saturday. I begin my employment with them, working the counter in the shop - but in a couple of months they plan on moving me to the kitchen, where I can try my hand as a professional chocolatier, under their master chocolatier. I'm sure excited. And a little nervous too.

Shawn took me to the London Aquarium for Valentines Day! I LOVED it! We had so much fun. It definately ranks high in my top 5 favorite things we've ever seen in London. They had huge tanks of sharks and stingrays. This one crazy shark was white with cream colored freckles. My favorite were the lion fish and jelly fish. Dave would have loved the tank of swimming turtles. I still can't believe I forgot my camera.

Our flat-mate, Anna, invited us to a wild underground fashion show she was modeling in on Friday. Lilly Cole, a famous british model, was crusing the catwalk as well - although we were partial to Anna. You can't get a ticket to a fashion show - you have to have an invitation to get in - so it was really cool of Anna to put us on the guest list. We recorded the show - I'll see if I can post it soon, so you can all stock your closet shelves with this years hottest trends.

Valentines day sounded wonderful. My valentine (Lance)spent the evening with the YM and YW of the ward. So the kids and I had an all red dinner together. We had spaghetti, red jello, red juice, red salad dressing, red angel food cake and strawberries. Not too fancy but fun!
