We are still excited to see the new baby but while we wait here are pictures of Isaac's party. I think my first Luau was a success. The Hawaiian tradition is to throw a big Luau for the first birthday because for the original Hawaiians on the island most babies didn't make it to their first year and if they did they usually lived to have many more birthdays. So still today the first birthday party is a big deal. We thought that given Isaac's rough entry into the world we really had reason to celebrate. I got some friends to help me plan it all and it was a lot of fun. There was tons of yummy food, decorations, friends and candy. Most people have their party's catered but I am proud to say we made it all- with some help from our friends. We had an Easter egg hunt and Isaac was the man of the hour and had no idea it was all for him. Happy Easter everyone.
