So we have a whole bunch of nails all around the outside of our house from all the construction. I didn't like having the kids running around outside with all these nails- one of my little people likes to go outside without shoes- so I told them that I would give them a penny for every nail they picked up. Eli did pretty good he picked up 170 nails! But miss Evelyn had to be drug back inside while screaming "there is still more out there!!" and stopped after she picked up 300 nails!!!! Go girl! As you can see from the picture she is exhausted. There is still more out there. Mom said the ground needs a little iron anyway so thankfully the kids can stop- I can't afford for them to pick up any more!

I do this with my kids and the billion pine cones in our yard! I paid Ethan $20 last year and both Brock and Amelia made about $5. CRAZY! At least I wasn't breaking my back picking them up I guess. If you give them a big magnet they should be able to pick them up faster!
Right on Eve and Eli. Way to pick-up nails. I like Amanda's magnet idea. Sounds like it would be working smarter not harder. Good job.
