On Wednesday the circus came to town!! We started the day marching in the parade. I help teach a kids class at the local gym so we took all our kids and marched them in the parade. We got second place... yippy! This is some of us marching in the parade

Me and the kiddos- Lainy's on my back. Eli was in charge of holding our sigh. He felt oh so important.
Strong Woman Eve and strongman Eli!After the Parade it was off to the circus. Eve totally scored at the circus. We sat next to Dr. Fisher's family, town pediatrician, Eve is good friends with his daughter. She sat next to her friend while her mom bought Eve and her popcorn, cotton candy, snow cones and... an Elephant ride!
Eve on the Elephant. She is 4th from the back in the pink hat.I'm not always the smartest mom. I only brought enough cash to get us in... not anticipating all the tempting ways the circus would try and empty our pockets for sugar and junk. I was so proud of Eli and Isaac for not complaining about the obvious unfairness of Eve's luck with a friend who's mom spared no expense for her kids... and who also had 4 sugar filled sick children by the end of the circus. I had no cash so I couldn't even try and keep up if I wanted to. I was happy hiding behind my no cash excuse. :)
Eve's friend's mom did buy the boys a snow cone. She spent $21 dollars on snow cones!!! Even with all the consumption of dyed processed sugar and sticky melted blue snow cone on my pants it was fun. The kids had a great time and I did too. I was pretty impressed with the circus. Not bad for our small town! They had pretty amazing acts, 2 lions, 3 tigers, 3 Elephants (Isaac's favorite) and some pretty talented performers.
