The Cast
( If you can't tell I am on the bottom right- wearing the Elvis wig. I liked it so much I think I might die my hair black! :)

For the last two years I've been doing plays at the library and every play just gets bigger and bigger- this being the biggest yet. I was the writer/director of this one and I am really proud of how it turned out! I may be taking all the credit but I did have A LOT of help. You really have to see it to appreciate it but -it was about elves in the north pole and there was one selfish elf who stole all the toys and we had to teach her the true meaning of Christmas. We had roller skating elves, singing, dancing and one BIG dance number. It was A lot of fun and everyone did such a great job. Each elf had their own personality. We had one elf who sang every line, she was Carole the Christmas Caroler, we had a giggly elf, Pat the allergetic elf, two "like totally cool" valley girl elves, an elf who always sucked up to Santa, and more. There were 18 of us moms this time- a new record!
Me and Christal- the two writers. Until this point Christal wrote and directed all the plays (she is wearing fake buck teeth- her teeth really aren't that big. She Played Bucky the elf) She also helped me a lot writing the play.

Me - I was Elvis elf. I'm just always feeling elfish. I even sang a remake of Blue Christmas- it was great! Lance wrote the lyrics for me and some one at the college, a man with a deep voice, arranged background music and recorded his voice singing it so I could use it in the play.
Melinda- she was one of our two elves on roller skates- and her character always fell down and got hurt. I think that was the kids favorite part. At the very end she limped out with her crutch and said "God bless us, everyone."
It was a lot of work but SO much fun for us and the kids who watched.
