Shawn's English foster parents gave us a gift certificate to the RITZ for dinner! We felt like impostors, amongst the posh-est of the posh, but we had a riot. We laughed for hours over all the odd job descriptions they must have (water-pourer man, bread crumb scraper boy, ect). I couldn't read, much less pronounce anything on the menu, and so ended up eating the strangest food. We smuggled a camera in my purse, and stole a few pictures of the inside of the Ritz. I really wanted a play by play video of the whole thing...but with 15 waiters skillfully attending to your every bread crumb, and the pressure of remembering which fork goes with which plate...I couldn't muster up the courage. I wore a feather in my hair, and Shawn wore his most handsome suit. It was crazy fun, but when all is said and done... turns out ...I'm just a macaroni and cheese girl at heart.

That's pretty cool! We stayed in a fancy resort on Oahu for one night- we felt like total imposters too. I'm sure it wasn't as nice of the ritz. It was just a bunch of weathly WHITE buisness men laying by the pool. We think that is pretty neat that you got to do that.
What a memory. And yet, like you said, it makes you glad that is not your everyday lifestyle..unable to kick your shoes off and enjoy a great bowl of cheerios in front of the TV.
